1. Please note that there will be no refunds, so if someone in your team has to drop out we suggest you find another friend to take their place. Your Team Captain will be able to change team members anytime up to a day before the event. The Gold Coast Ramble is an all weather event so no refunds will apply.
2. While any donation you make of $2.00 or more is tax deductible, regrettably the entry fees are not viewed by the Australian Tax office as a donation, hence are not deductible for individual taxpayers.
3. Team members who are registered before the event must participate on the day in order to be eligible to win the prizes. If a member of the team cannot attend and you replace that person with another make very certain your Captain updates the team member details to be eligible to win.
4. As part of your registration process you will be required to read and agree to all terms and conditions upon entry into the Ramble. If you are the team captain it is your responsibility to ensure each member of your team has read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions. If the team Captain is under 18 years of age, it is their responsibility to have an adult read and explain the terms, conditions and ramifications of those to all team members who are under 18.
5. Teams can increase their chance of winning by starting Ramble Day with 100 bonus points simply by fundraising. For every $10's your team raises before Ramble Day you'll get 1 bonus Ramble point (up to 100 points). Not only does this increase your chances of winning the Grand Prize it also puts you in the running to win from our fundraising prize pool. Raise Lots! To receive bonus points donations must be submitted before you start your game on Sunday, 22 March 2020 at 10.00am.
6. The Ramble is not a race and participants cannot run or use private transport or taxis. It is for walking and public transport only. No bikes, skateboards, roller blades or scooters are allowed. A team found to be running or taking any form of private transport during the duration of the event will be disqualified.
7. The event doesn't require you to collect material items like an old fashioned treasure hunt. This is more cerebral, you will be collecting knowledge and great memories, and you will have to solve the clue to find the checkpoint. At each checkpoint you will receive a unique question or a challenge. By finding the correct answer or completing the challenge your team will gain points, the team with the most points at the end of the Ramble will win the 'hunt'.
8. Points are allocated to each challenge based on the degree of difficulty of the question, the estimated time taken to find and get to the checkpoint and the answer.
9. Teams require a captain and between one and five additional team members. They comprise anyone who is not an all family team. Work mates, friends, and club members. Share the cost and have a load of laughs.
10. A Family Team comprises members who are related by birth or marriage; be that in law or defacto, non-gender specific. To qualify for this rate, the team is limited to two (2) adults and any number of children. (under 16)
11. There are terrific prizes for the craziest dressed, for fundraising, for the team that scores the highest points in the Gold Coast Ramble event and for a random team that completes the day. The judges decision on winning teams is final.
12. General Release and Indemnity
12.1. Participants are aware and acknowledge that the Gold Coast Ramble involves inherent risks of being conducted on the streets of the city, including the risk of injury to life or death and damage to property and in undertaking such activities, do so at their own risk.
12.2. Participants are also aware that it is a condition of participation in the Gold Coast Ramble that Rotary, its officers and employees, agents and volunteers are released by the participants from all liability howsoever arising from injury or damage to both property and person howsoever caused (whether fatal or otherwise) arising out of their participation in the Event whether or not such injury or damage is due to any negligent act, breach of duty, default and/or omission on the part of Rotary, its officers and employees, agents or volunteers.
12.3. Participants indemnify Rotary, its officers and employees, agents and volunteers against all loss, damage and expenses (including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis) arising out of or in connection with any claims, actions, proceedings or demands of any kind arising directly or indirectly as a consequence of their participation in the Event.
12.4. Participants acknowledge and agree that their participation in the Event is as a consequence of their own free will and desire and that they have read and understood the above warning, release and indemnity.

Participants warrant that they are 18 years of age or older and are lawfully able to enter into this above release and indemnity or, in the event that they are a minor, have the permission of their legal guardian to participate in the Event and that their legal guardian has agreed to adhere to the terms of the indemnity.
